Sirocco, An astonishing 200m-high (656-foot) rooftop restaurant, Sirocco boasts unrestrained Greco-Roman architecture and giddying views over Bangkok and the river. Sweep down the large stone staircase past the jazz quartet to the garden terrace tables for some quite good Mediterranean cuisine. Its Sky Bar mixes the stiff drinks needed to look down.
The elegance of Sirocco will create a sense of awe in the most experienced of fine diners: sitting 63 floors high with the Chao Phraya River far below, wrapping itself around the hotel like a silk ribbon, and the innumerable lights of Bangkok sparkling – it’s hard not to feel inspired.
# Sirocco and State Tower were prominently featured in the 2011 US film The Hangover 2.
